Two Tiers

Free, 3 active projects, 200 ideas, full decision log, weekly review, capture pipeline, recommendations engine, relationship graph. Everything required to run the operating model, no time limits, no feature deprivation.

Pro ($25/mo or $250/yr). Unlimited projects and ideas, all 9 AI features, sharing links, data export, priority support.

The Free tier is not a trial. It's intentionally usable indefinitely if your scale stays within the limits. Most founders hit the limits within 4-6 weeks of consistent use.

Three Concrete Upgrade Triggers

Don't upgrade because Pro sounds nicer. Upgrade because one of these specific things happened:

Trigger 1. The cap became a constraint. You hit 3 active projects and the 4th is genuinely strategic, not just enthusiasm. Or your idea count crosses 200 and you start hesitating to capture. The cost of friction at this stage is higher than $25/mo.

Trigger 2. A high-stakes decision is approaching. You're about to make a call where being wrong costs more than $250. AI Decision Review pays for itself in one use, conservatively. Pro opens up the blind-spot scan.

Trigger 3. You need to share work externally. Advisor wants visibility into a project. Investor wants context on a decision. Sharing links opens up that without giving full account access.

If none of these have happened, Free is the right tier. Don't upgrade pre-emptively, the AI features need workspace data to be valuable, and you accumulate that data on Free.

Tip:Most founders upgrade when AI Decision Review or AI Founder Briefing becomes worth more than the monthly cost, usually around month 2 of consistent use. Don't force it earlier.

Billing & Cancellation

Manage everything at /settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately. Cancellations preserve access through the end of the billing period, you don't lose the month you paid for.

If you cancel, your workspace doesn't disappear. The Pro features stop working (AI calls fail, sharing links expire); your ideas, decisions, projects, and assets stay readable. Re-upgrading restores everything.

Data export (Pro feature) is also the portability guarantee. If you ever leave Foundry, you take the full JSON of your operating history with you. That's deliberate, vendor lock-in is the opposite of an operating system.
