Simulate: Running a Weekly Review
Go through the full 15-minute weekly review ritual
By the end of this module
The Scenario
It's Friday at 4pm. You haven't done a weekly review in 8 days. Today's page shows a "Weekly review due" nudge. Your vault has 4 stale RAW ideas. You have 6 open commitments.
Let's run the review.
Step 1: Stale Captures (3 minutes)
Navigate to /review. Step 1 shows your stale RAW ideas.
For each:
- Does this need a full triage session? (Move to IN_TRIAGE)
- Is this clearly not worth pursuing? (Archive)
- Is this real but not now? (Park)
Don't score them now, that's triage, not review. Just route them.
Step 2: Commitments (2 minutes)
Step 2 shows last week's commitments. Scan:
- Which are done? (They're already toggled)
- Which did you miss?
- For the missed ones: does the commitment still stand? If so, reschedule. If not, mark dropped.
This is not a guilt exercise, it's a reality check.
Step 3: Set Intentions (5 minutes)
Step 3: Set your 1-5 intentions for next week.
Good intention: "Get the first version of the landing page to a state I'd share with 10 people"
Bad intention: "Work on landing page"
The difference is specificity and outcome-orientation. Write the version that creates a clear success condition.
Save and Close
Click "Complete Review." The snapshot is saved. Next week, Today will show your intentions as checkboxes.
That's it. 15 minutes. Now go enjoy your weekend.
